Privacy Policy
Mom AI, mood journal is a private journal, published by arephan. Nobody else reads
what you write in it. It is not for sale to anyone, at any price. This policy covers
the Google Play release (tools.handled.moodtracker) and the App Store release
(com.hansolokim4eva.ventlog), which are one app with two doors.
Save a vent and the text, the date and the emotion labels are written to the device. Delete the app and that copy goes with it.
Signing in goes through Firebase Authentication, which is a Google service. It holds your email address and the credentials that let you sign back in later, and that is the whole of it. No vent is ever sent there.
Saving a vent does send its text somewhere: to the classifier, so it can come back tagged. The classifier is a model on a server of ours, not somebody else's API, which is why the text reaches no third party at all. The server answers and drops it.
Cloud Backup starts off. Switch it on in Settings and your vents are copied to Google Firestore under your account, so you can get them back on a new phone. Switching it off again stops further copying but leaves whatever was already uploaded in place; see below for removing it.
Apple bills the subscription through your App Store account. We never see your card, your billing address or your Apple ID. All we learn from Apple is whether the subscription is currently active. Cancel any time in your Apple ID settings.
There is no ad SDK in the app. There is no analytics SDK either. Nobody is assembling a profile of you out of it, and nothing in it follows you into other apps.
This website is a separate thing from the app, and it does count page visits, so that we can tell whether anyone is reading it. What that records is the page you opened, where you arrived from and a rough location. It does not record your name or anything you wrote in the app, and advertisers get none of it.
Mom AI, mood journal is not aimed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them, and if you believe a child's account exists here, the deletion page below is the fastest way to have it removed.
To delete one vent, press and hold it, then tap the trash button.
To close your account, use Delete Account in Settings. That removes your sign-in record and the copy of your vents held on the phone. If you had ever switched Cloud Backup on, the uploaded copy is not covered by that button yet: email hankimproduction@gmail.com from the address on the account and it will be deleted within 30 days.

If this policy changes, so does the date at the top of the page. There is no mailing list for that and no banner; the date is the record.
