Vent log

A private journal that names what you felt

Write about your day in your own words. Ventlog tags each entry with the emotions in it, and the Analytics tab shows what kept coming up over the last week or month.

28 labels, not five faces

The model reads the words you wrote and nothing around them. It gets things wrong, and you are allowed to disagree with it.

Patterns you can check

Analytics counts your labels over 7, 30 and 90 days and lists the words you use most. Nine entries, 67% positive, that sort of thing.

It stays on your phone

Entries are written to the device when you save them. Cloud Backup is off until you switch it on in Settings, and switching it on copies your entries into your own account so a new phone can pull them back. There is no ad SDK in the app and no analytics SDK, which is also why nobody is assembling a profile of you. The one thing that leaves the phone either way is the text of an entry, which goes to the classifier so it can come back tagged, and the server drops it once it has answered.

Five languages

English, Spanish, French, German and Turkish. Each one got its own round of fine-tuning on the classifier, so what you write in Turkish is read as Turkish.

What it costs

Seven days free from your first sign-in. After that Ventlog Pro is $9.99 a month. Whatever you have already written stays readable whether you subscribe or not.
